Obregon stormed past Navolato for the second consecutive win. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon outrebounded Garra Canera de Navolato 54-33 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Jose-Israel Gutierrez (206-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American-Lebanese guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's coach Ronald Guillen used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Rick Bodiford (193-87, college: Z*Orangeville A's) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Hameed Ali (188-93, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Garra Canera de Navolato. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon and five Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures.
