Rather expected game in Santo Domingo where 5th ranked Titanes Licey (2-4) was defeated by second ranked Soles SD (4-2) 88-78. Soles SD made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for power forward Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. Elkin Ramos contributed with 18 points for the winners. American Jaelyn Johnson-Coston (198-93, college: Florida Memorial) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Titanes Licey. Titanes Licey's coach Carlos Medina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Soles SD keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Leones SD. Titanes Licey at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Soles SD's next round opponent will be Indios SFM (#3) in San Francisco, which may be the game of the day. Titanes Licey will play on the road against Reales LV in La Vega and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
