Mazatlan opened 2-0 lead against Los Mochis following a road win. Lobos UAD Mazatlan made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Pioneros Los Mochis outrebounded Lobos UAD Mazatlan 56-41 including 22 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Josh Ramirez (198, college: Dominican, CA) chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Taylor Johns (201-94, college: Cal-Riverside, agency: Slash Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
