Regular Season Round 5: Indios SFM - Soles SD 100-92

An exciting game was played in San Francisco. Third ranked Indios SFM faced second-ranked Soles SD. Host Indios SFM (3-2) defeated guests from Santo Domingo (4-3) 100-92. Indios SFM had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Point guard Jaison Valdez (188-95, agency: Basket Management Solutions) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Elkin Ramos added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Soles SD. Four Soles SD players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios SFM maintains third place with 3-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Leones SD, which they share with Reales LV. Soles SD at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Indios SFM will play against Caneros LR (#6) in La Romana in the next round. Soles SD will play on the road against Metros STGO (#5) in Santiago and hopes to get back on the winning track.
