Tijuana rallied past Culiacan to open 3-1 lead. Tijuana Zonkeys forced 19 Caballeros de Culiacan turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tijuana Zonkeys made 9 blocks. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by center Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 9 rebounds by forward DuVaughn Maxwell (201-91, college: Hampton) did not help to save the game for Caballeros de Culiacan. Forward Merrill Holden (203-93, college: Iowa St.) added 14 points for lost side. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
