Sixth ranked Caneros LR (3-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Indios SFM (3-3) 90-88 on Thursday evening. Caneros LR made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Caneros LR outrebounded Indios SFM 42-26 including 18 on the offensive glass. Elias Soliman scored 26 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Juan-Pablo Montas (198-84) chipped in 19 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) with 24 points and Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Indios SFM at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost.
