The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Panthers' (7-11) home loss to seventh ranked Crusaders (8-8) 72-98 on Saturday. Crusaders made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Callum Jenkins who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward James Trustum (192) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side forward Sean Weekes (194) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Viliami Foketi scored 20 points. Five Crusaders and four Panthers players scored in double figures. Panthers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Crusaders moved-up to sixth place in League. Newly promoted Panthers keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Crusaders will face higher ranked Hills Hornets (#4) in Baulkham Hills in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panthers will play at home against Bankstown Bruins (#11) and hope to win that game.
