Tijuana rallied past Obregon to open 2-0 advantage in CIBACOPA Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Halcones de Ciudad Obregon won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tijuana Zonkeys forced 22 Halcones de Ciudad Obregon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Cesar Martin-del-Campo (196-87) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach James Penny used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Jimmy Hall (203-94, college: Kent St.) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon.
