The game in San German was also quite interesting. Second ranked Capitanes (18-11) played at the court of 7th ranked Atleticos (11-17). Capitanes defeated Atleticos 102-90 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Capitanes. Atleticos was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Capitanes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-11 record having just two points less than leader Bayamon. Loser Atleticos keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. Capitanes will face league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atleticos will play at home against Leones (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
