Regular Season Round 16: Fujian - Lhasa 121-115

There was a minor upset in Fuzhou where 8th ranked Lhasa (6-9) was defeated by eleventh ranked Fujian (6-9) 121-115. Lhasa was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Lhasa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American guard Antoine Mason (191-92, college: Auburn) who scored that evening 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) supported him with 27 points and 19 rebounds. Even 51 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists by American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Lhasa. Center DangJian Han (208-88) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Four Lhasa players scored in double figures. Fujian moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Lhasa. Lhasa lost sixth consecutive game. Fujian's next round opponent will be higher ranked Guizhou (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
