Regular Season Round 12: Titanes Licey - Reales LV 93-85

An interesting game for Titanes Licey (6-9) which hosted in San Cristobal second-best Reales LV (6-6). Third ranked Titanes Licey managed to get a 8-point victory 93-85. Titanes Licey outrebounded Reales LV 44-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit Mercy) who had a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 16-of-20 shooting from the field). The other American import center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) chipped in 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Smailin Encarnacion who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Gary Johnson (198-88, college: Texas) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Titanes Licey maintains third position with 6-9 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Indios SFM. Reales LV at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Titanes Licey's next round opponent will be Caneros Del Este (#4) in La Romana. Reales LV will play at home against the league's leader Indios SFM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
