Colombia upset Puerto Rico to enter championship game in Barranquilla. Mabel Martinez tossed in 21 points to lead the charge. Colombia eked out a 15:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Puerto Rico however used a 14:9 rally in the second frame to take a 27:24 halftime advantage. Colombia regained the lead in the third period. They entered the final period up by two points. Colombia sank 20 points in the fourth frame and raced to the win. Yaneth Arias notched 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Jazmon Gwathmey replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Puerto Rico.
