Very important is a home loss of third ranked Waverley Falcons (15-7) against seventh ranked Casey C. (13-9) on Sunday night. Host Waverley Falcons were crushed by Casey C. in Mount Waverley 101-72. Casey C. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Waverley Falcons' 36. They outrebounded Waverley Falcons 50-32 including 36 on the defensive glass. Casey C. players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Waverley Falcons' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Raheem Lemons (196-93, college: Central State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Brandon Polk contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) replied with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Bradley Kelleher (182-86, college: Hofstra) added 16 points in the effort for Waverley Falcons. Five Casey C. and four Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Waverley Falcons' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
