Very important is a home loss of second ranked Atlanta (5-3) against fifth ranked Dallas (5-3) on Sunday night. Host Atlanta was defeated by Dallas in Atlanta 109-94. Dallas dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Atlanta's 54. Dallas forced 28 Atlanta turnovers and outrebounded them 53-40 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dallas made 7 blocks. Swingman Malik Morgan (193) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Elijah Foster (203, college: Nevada) chipped in 17 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nigel Chaney (188-98) with 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Corey Boyd (206-98) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists.
