Mexico eked out a narrow win over Dominican Republic to improve at 2-0 record in Group B. Gustavo Ayon had 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Dominican Republic grabbed a 20:12 lead after ten minutes. Mexico spurred in front in the second term. They established a 41:34 halftime lead. The seesaw action continued in the second half. Dominican Republic pulled ahead in the third term but Mexico dropped 21 points in the fourth stanza to seal the win. Francisco Cruz had 17 points in the victory. Jhonatan Araujo replied with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Dominican Republic.
