An exciting game was played in Fajardo. Piratas faced Cariduros. Guests from Quebradillas (2-0) defeated host Cariduros (0-2) 106-96. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-96. Piratas made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83, agency: Basket Management Solutions) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) chipped in 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The former international point guard Alvin Cruz (186-82, college: Niagara) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri, agency: Pro Sports) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Piratas and five Cariduros players scored in double figures. Cariduros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Piratas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cariduros will play against Capitanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
