Regular Season Round 7: Osasco B. - Mogi 68-83

Bottom-ranked Osasco B. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to seventh ranked Mogi (2-2) 83-68 on Thursday evening. Mogi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Osasco B.'s 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Osasco B.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Joao Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. International point guard Arthur Pecos (183-94) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Mogi players scored in double figures. Kleiton Torres (201-89) came up with 11 points and guard Vitor Pinto (189-92, college: Adams St.) added 13 points respectively for Osasco B. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mogi moved-up to fifth place, which they share with L.Sorocaba and Sao Jose. Osasco B. lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Mogi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osasco B. will play against America (#9) in Rio Preto and hopes to get finally their first victory.
