There was a change at the BSN leadership position after last games. Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Capitanes (4-3). They were defeated by second ranked Piratas (4-3) 96-83 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capitanes. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-83. Piratas made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Piratas and five Capitanes players scored in double figures. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Bayamon and Arecibo.
