Amistad held off La Salle Tarija to even the series at 2-2. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 32-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Amistad shot 60.6 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American George Williams (198-90, college: Wayland Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 6 assists. Belizean forward Devin Daly (195-94, college: L.Superior) contributed with 29 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Amistad's coach Bernie Tarr used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan guard Michael Flores (192-85) replied with 27 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Martin Ochoa (185-94) added 27 points in the effort for La Salle Tarija. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
