Alcobendas used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pozuelo 89-71 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Alcobendas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alcobendas outrebounded Pozuelo 42-27 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward David Marina (202-88) stepped up and scored 16 points and 4 assists for the winners and center Pablo Rodrigo (204-86) chipped in 4 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side power forward Daniel Busto (204-92, college: Ohlone CC) responded with 17 points and point guard Jorge Gonzalez (183-88) scored 13 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Alcobendas will face Estudio (#8) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pozuelo will play at home against Lanzarote (#5) and hope to win that game.
