Regular Season Round 1: La Charite - Lourdes 87-68

La Charite used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Tarbes 87-68 on Saturday night. La Charite dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lourdes-Tarbes' 32. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh) stepped up and scored 11 points and 6 assists for the winners and naturalized Burkinabe swingman Joris Bado (193-91) chipped in 13 points. Five La Charite players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Tom Foucault (189-94) responded with 16 points and guard Maxence Claveau (194-94) scored 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). La Charite will face La Rochelle (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Etoile Angers (#1) and hope to win that game.
