Regular Season Round 1: CFBB - Lorient 51-79

But CFBB was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Lorient 79-51 on Saturday night. Lorient forced 19 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Lorient especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. American forward Zach Brown (198-95, college: Wichita St.) stepped up and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-87) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Five Lorient players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Yvan Ouedraogo (201-2) responded with 13 points and guard Timothe Crusol (185-1) scored 10 points and 4 assists. CFBB's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lorient will face Vitre (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. CFBB will play against Union Tours and hope to win that game.
