There was no surprise in Madrid where Daimiel (0-2) was defeated by Estudiantes B (2-0) 86-80 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bulgarian center Emil Stoilov (208-2) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Adams Sola (191-0) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American forward Julian Lewis (196-92, college: Lewis) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Jose-Luis Otero (203-89) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Estudiantes B and four Daimiel players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes B will face Gran Canaria II (#3) in Las Palmas in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Daimiel will play at home against Rivas (#10) and hope to win that game.
