Regular Season Round 1: Pyrinto - Honka 74-67

Very predictable result in Tampere where Pyrinto (2-0) beat Honka (0-2) 74-67 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Honka won third quarter 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pyrinto forced 22 Honka turnovers. Honka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Jasper Koskinen (183-1) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Valtteri Taussi (189-1) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Pyrinto players scored in double figures. Alvar Peltoniemi (196-1) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and Oscar Lindholm (194-0) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Honka's coach Aapo Heinonen let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pyrinto will face KTP in Kotka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Honka will play on the road against Go Time (#5) in Helsinki and hope to win that game.
