Regular Season Round 2: Castelldefels - Alfinden 65-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Castelldefels' (0-2) home loss to Alfinden (1-0) 65-72 on Sunday. Castelldefels was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Italian-Argentinian swingman Matias Lescano (196-79) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Jose Malo (203-96) chipped in 10 points during the contest. Point guard Andreu Sese (189-97) responded with 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Eric Manes (194-87) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Alfinden will face Vive El Masnou (#14) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castelldefels will play on the road against Sant Josep in Badalona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
