No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vilsbiburg (2-2) won against at home 13th ranked Schwabing (1-2) 98-84 on Wednesday. Vilsbiburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Schwabing's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Grant Corsi (196-94, college: Trinity Intern.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Eduard Hoffmann (185-97) who added 24 points during the contest. Four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Joshua Obiesie (197-0) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and naturalized British point guard Justin Hedley (191-96) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Vilsbiburg maintains fifth position in South-East with 2-2 record, which they share with Herzogenaurach and Bamberg. Loser Schwabing dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Vilsbiburg will face league's second-placed TSV Troester in Breitenguessbach in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Schwabing will play on the road against Rosenheim (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
