TTT Riga used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Moscow 93-57 on Thursday night. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. TTT Riga forced 21 Dynamo Moscow turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Dynamo Moscow was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Kristine Vitola (193-91, college: UTEP) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners and American guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side guard Tatiana Korovushkina (177-88) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and Polina Fedorova (189-95) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TTT Riga will face CTO (#13) in Amsterdam in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamo Moscow will play at home against Lulea Basket and hope to win that game.
