Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Bad Aibling (0-3) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Herzogenaurach (2-2) 113-71 on Saturday. Herzogenaurach made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Herzogenaurach outrebounded Bad Aibling 41-30 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Austrian swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Nils Hafurther who added 28 points during the contest. Four Herzogenaurach players scored in double figures. At the losing side Johannes Wienet responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Simon Bradaric scored 10 points. Bad Aibling's coach Tobias Guggenhuber already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Herzogenaurach moved-up to fifth place in South-East, which they share with Bamberg and Vilsbiburg. Newly promoted Bad Aibling still closes the standings with three games lost. Herzogenaurach will face Goldbach (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bad Aibling will play against Jena II and hopes to get finally their first victory.
