Regular Season Round 3: USK Praha - Svitavy 80-82

The most exciting game of round 3 in the NBL took place in Praha. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of USK Praha (1-2) to Basketbal Svitavy (3-0) 82-80 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. 26 personal fouls committed by USK Praha helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (192-86) who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). American Russell Woods (203-94, college: Missouri) chipped in 17 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Filip Vukosavljevic (201-83) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Ondrej Sehnal (196-97) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Basketbal Svitavy are looking forward to face BK Pardubice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. USK Praha will play against BK Olomoucko (#7) in Prostejov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
