Regular Season Round 4: Hagen-Haspe - Grevenbroich 103-89

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked Grevenbroich (2-1) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Hagen-Haspe (2-1) 103-89 on Saturday. Hagen-Haspe shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Tre Ivory (180-96, college: Austin Peay St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and Maximilian Fouhy (193-0) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Bulgarian guard Milen Zahariev (190-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Lennard Joerdell (207-91) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hagen-Haspe moved-up to third place in West, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Grevenbroich. Hagen-Haspe will face Ibbenbueren (#5) on the road in the next round. Grevenbroich will play against the league's leader Duesseldorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
