Very expected game in Boechout where 11th ranked Lommel (1-3) was defeated by sixth ranked Oxaco (3-1) 94-77 on Saturday. Oxaco made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Lommel turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lommel's players. Center Mark De-Meyer (194-88) stepped up and scored 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Christopher Pegg (185-82) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Oxaco players scored in double figures. Forward Bart Maesen (198-89) responded with 27 points and guard Martijn Hendrix (183-86) scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oxaco have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gembo BBC and Waregem. Lommel lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Oxaco will face Waregem (#4) on the road in the next round. Lommel will play against the league's second-placed Gembo BBC (#2) and hope to win that game.
