Regular Season Round 4: Nymburk - Sokol HK 101-80

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Basketball Nymburk and 5th ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove had identical 2-1 record. This time Basketball Nymburk used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Hradec Kralove 101-80 on Saturday night. Basketball Nymburk made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Chloe Wells (173-92, college: Duke) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Russian-Ukrainian center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89) supported her with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Basketball Nymburk players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by center Klara Vojtikova (190-94) did not help to save the game for Sokol Hradec Kralove. Swingman Katerina Zavazalova (174-90) added 10 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Basketball Nymburk (3-1) moved-up to third place. Loser Sokol Hradec Kralove dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Basketball Nymburk will meet league's second-placed USK Praha on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play against BLK Praha (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
