Regular Season Round 3: DYUSH-DOR - Politekhn.Lvov 58-100

Politekhn.Lvov delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed DYUSH-DOR (0-2) 100-58 in Dnepropetrovsk. The game without a history. Politekhn.Lvov led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to DYUSH-DOR's 28. Politekhn.Lvov forced 23 DYUSH-DOR turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Politekhn.Lvov looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by DYUSH-DOR's players. It was a great evening for swingman Denys Tiutiunyk (195-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Pavlo Kych (202-98) helped adding 22 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Politekhn.Lvov players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Yuriy Strizhevskiy (180-92) with 3 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and center Pavlo Riazantsev (202-95) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Politekhn.Lvov will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. DYUSH-DOR will play again against Politekhn.Lvov (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
