Regular Season Round 4: Osaka Evessa - Fukuoka Rizing 89-65

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (0-4) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (3-1) 89-65 on Saturday. Osaka Evessa looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. The former international center Pape Faye (200-87) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Masashi Joho (183-82) added 7 points and 6 assists in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Osaka Evessa keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing still closes the standings with four games lost. Osaka Evessa will face Shiga L-Stars (#5) on the road in the next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya and hopes to get finally their first victory.
