Regular Season Round 5: Centrum - Asker Aliens 90-62

Centrum can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Asker Aliens (0-4) 90-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Asker Aliens managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum forced 19 Asker Aliens turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. 25 personal fouls committed by Asker Aliens helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was international guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) who scored 27 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Anders Stien (195-90) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Jorgen Onarheim (201-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Per Berthelsen added 15 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Centrum (1-4) left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Asker Aliens' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Centrum will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Asker Aliens will play at home against Ammerud Bskt (#10) and hope to get finally their first victory.
