Regular Season Round 3: Gifu Swoops - Saitama Bron. 68-76

An interesting game for Saitama Broncos (3-3) which played road game in Gifu against Gifu Swoops (3-3). Saitama Broncos managed to get a 8-point victory 76-68. It was a great evening for American Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Masaya Ueda (177-93) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and Ito Ryota scored 12 points and 8 assists. Gifu Swoops' coach Kazuo Kusumoto rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saitama Broncos will play against Kagoshima (#9) in Renova in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gifu Swoops will play on the road against Tokyo Cinq R. (#10) and hope to get back on the winning track.
