Regular Season Round 4: Prometey - Mariupol 101-78

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Prometey as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Prometey smashed 7th ranked Mariupol at home 101-78. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Mariupol's 42. They outrebounded Mariupol 38-21 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Prometey especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Andriy Kulish (204-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Suprim Shaku contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Roman Bey (189-95) replied with 18 points and Gleb Buzko (192-92) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Mariupol. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Mariupol at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Kremen-2. Mariupol will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Prometey will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Mariupol at home.
