Very expected game in Stahnsdorf where 9th ranked Rendsburg (2-3) was defeated by fifth ranked RSV Eintracht (4-1) 72-54 on Sunday. RSV Eintracht forced 26 Rendsburg turnovers. Lithuanian point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and American forward Matthew Dogan (201-94, college: Gannon) chipped in 17 points. Forward Sven Gottschalk (203-92) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and guard Max Hillner (192-89) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. RSV Eintracht moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Goetting.ASC. Loser Rendsburg dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. RSV Eintracht will face Aschersleben (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rendsburg will play against Vechta-2 and hope to win that game.
