Regular Season Round 5: Sokol Pisek - Nymburk B 105-83

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Sokol Pisek and 6th ranked Nymburk B had identical 2-2 record. This time Sokol Pisek used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Nymburk 105-83 on Wednesday night. Sokol Pisek dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Nymburk B's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Nymburk B's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokol Pisek made 7 blocks. Swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and guard Lubos Mikolasek (178) chipped in 24 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Sokol Pisek maintains third place in West with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader J.Hradec, which they share with Loko Plzen and Slavoj Litom. Loser Nymburk B keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Sokol Pisek will face BK Loko Plzen (#4) at home in the next round. Nymburk B will play against GBA Sparta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
