Regular Season Round 3: Asseco Arka - Cedevita 61-78

Everything went according to plan in Gdynia where Croatian Cedevita (2-1) beat Polish Asseco Arka (0-3) 78-61 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-61. Cedevita dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Arka's 24. They outrebounded Asseco Arka 49-32 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Asseco Arka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 7 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Justin Cobbs (191-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) with 17 points and the other American import point guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cedevita will face Lokomotiv in Krasnodar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asseco Arka will play on the road against ALBA Berlin (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
