Regular Season Round 3: Parma-2 - Unics-2 54-97

An interesting game took place in Perm where Parma-2 (1-3) was upset on its own court by Unics-2 (1-1) 97-54. The game without a history. Unics-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Parma-2's 22. Unics-2 forced 28 Parma-2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Parma-2's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Parma-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Vadim Kudinov (194-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Georgiy Korotayev (196-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Unics-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Egor Chernyshev (196-99) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sergey Tkachenko (201-99) added 4 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Parma-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics-2's next round opponent will be Khimki-2 on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parma-2 will play against N.Novgorod-2 (#10) and hope to win that game.
