Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Lorient (4-2) won against at home 8th ranked Etoile Angers (2-4) 67-55 on Friday. They outrebounded Etoile Angers 44-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Zach Brown (198-95, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Center Vincent Pourchot (222-92) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Antoine Wallez (204-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Etoile Angers. Lorient have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted Etoile Angers dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Lorient will face Union Tours (#6) on the road in the next round. Etoile Angers will play against STB Le Havre and hope to win that game.
