Regular Season Round 5: Univ.Burgos - La Fecha 106-84
Date: October 20, 2018
There was no surprise when bottom-ranked La Fecha (0-2) was crushed on the road by leader Univ.Burgos (2-0) 106-84 on Saturday. Univ.Burgos shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Univ.Burgos had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by La Fecha's players. The best player for the winners was center Pablo Roman (206-95) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Angolan-Polish center Julio De-Assis (203-92) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Univ.Burgos players scored in double figures. Guard Alejandro Fisac (183-96) produced 18 points and guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Univ.Burgos keeps a position of Group A-A leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser La Fecha still closes the standings with two games lost. Univ.Burgos will face Goierri (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. La Fecha will play against Mondragon (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
