The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Suduva-Mantinga as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Perlas) loss. Suduva-Mantinga smashed bottom-ranked Ezerunas in Marijampole 91-56. Suduva-Mantinga made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Suduva-Mantinga outrebounded Ezerunas 47-22 including a 19-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Justinas Jogminas (198-97) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (187-97) with 16 points and guard Hubertas Pivorius (189-2) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suduva-Mantinga have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Vytis. Ezerunas at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Ezerunas will play next round against Delikatesas trying to get back on the winning streak. Suduva-Mantinga will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Palanga on the road.
