Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Azuqueca and 5th ranked HLA Alicante had identical 2-1 record. This time Azuqueca used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Alicante 79-69 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ervin Mitchell (193-94, college: Grambling St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Ignacio Ballespin (194-98) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side Jose Ortega (192-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. HLA Alicante's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Azuqueca (3-1) moved-up to fifth place in Silver. Loser HLA Alicante dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Azuqueca will face league's leader Villarrobledo at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. HLA Alicante will play against Albacete (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
