Regular Season Round 5: Schwelm - Dresden 88-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets and 6th ranked Titans had identical 2-2 record. This time SG Schwelmer Baskets used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Dresden 88-79 on Saturday night. SG Schwelmer Baskets made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Titans only scored six points from the stripe. SG Schwelmer Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Five SG Schwelmer Baskets and four Titans players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for SG Schwelmer Baskets. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Titans dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Titans will play against Sixers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
