Regular Season Round 4: Menorca - Albacete 58-60

Very expected game in Mahon where bottom-ranked Menorca (0-4) was edged by seventh ranked Albacete (2-2) 60-58 on Saturday. Albacete forced 22 Menorca turnovers. Menorca was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jordan Davis (178-91, college: Tampa) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) responded with 12 points and point guard Jorge Jimenez (182-81) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Albacete moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Newly promoted Menorca still closes the standings with four games lost. Albacete will face HLA Alicante (#8) on the road in the next round. Menorca will play against L'Hospitalet and hopes to get finally their first victory.
