Very predictable result in Santa Cruz de Ten. where eighth ranked Tenerife Naut. (3-2) outscored 15th ranked Daimiel (1-4) 87-62 on Saturday. They outrebounded Daimiel 51-25 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Samuel Rodriguez (202-97) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Julian Lewis (196-92, college: Lewis) produced 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B. Daimiel at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with four games lost. Tenerife Naut. will face Pozuelo (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Daimiel will play against the league's leader Gran Canaria II and hope to win that game.
