Regular Season Round 6: SeaHorses - Hitachi SR 74-64

Everything could happen in Kariya at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Aishin Sea Horses and 6th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers had identical 1-5 record. This time Aishin Sea Horses used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Tokyo 74-64 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was the former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses (2-5) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars and Yokohama BC. Hitachi Sunrockers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face again Hitachi Sunrockers (#6) in Tokyo in the next round.
