Very important is a home loss of Kauhajoki (3-1) against BC Nokia (2-2) on Saturday night. Host Kauhajoki was defeated by BC Nokia in a tough game in Kauhajoki 86-94. Kauhajoki was ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 59-41 second half run of BC Nokia. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Malcolm Bernard (198-94, college: Xavier) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Five BC Nokia players scored in double figures. American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) added 18 points respectively for Kauhajoki in the defeat. BC Nokia will play against Lapuan Korikobrat (#4) at home in the next round. Kauhajoki will play against Ura Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
